FAQs

What is CBD?

CBD stands for cannabidiol, a compound found cannabis, and in large amounts in hemp.

What is CBD oil?

CBD when extracted from- most popularly- industrial hemp comes out in the form of an oil as it is a fat.  It is then mixed with a carrier oil for easier distribution.  We mix our CBD with sacha inchi oil that contains omegas 3, 6 and 9, as well as other vital nutrients.

Can I cook with CBD?

Yes you can cook with both CBD and Full Spectrum hemp extract.  While we suggest being gentle when introducing them to heat, they are great to add to drinks, on top of your food or when baking.  Our CBD isolate is a great option if you want to add a non-liquid option, or our oil tinctures work great as well.

Will I get high using Pacha's CBD products?

No, our products are marked with having either 0% THC (CBD only) or less than .3% THC (Full Spectrum). THC is the active chemical compound that will get you high. If you used our full spectrum products, the amount of THC is trivial and will not get you high.

What are cannabinoids?

Cannabinoids are naturally occurring chemical compounds found in all bodies (mammals, fish, and reptiles), a variety of plants, but most notably in cannabis (hemp and marijuana).  Two of the most known cannabinoids are THC (tetrahydrocannabinol) and CBD (cannabidiol), but there are in fact over 100 cannabinoids.

Fun fact!  Some ingredients and plants that we use often have phytocannabinoids (cannabinoids occurring in plants): black pepper, coneflowers (echinacea), and chocolate, just to name a few.

Our Full Spectrum products contain all the cannabinoids which includes CBD!

How do cannabinoids work in our bodies?

Within all animal bodies (including our human ones) lies the endocannabinoid system (ECS).  The ECS is comprised of the body’s endocannabinoids (cannabinoids occurring in the body) and its receptors.

The main receptors are CB1 and CB2 which are found mainly in the nervous and immune system.  When our endocannabinoids, and phytocannabinoids that we consume, reach these receptors is when we get some action.  For example, the most known is the feeling of being “high” which comes from the cannabinoid THC.

Other than THC, the other cannabinoids don’t have a psychoactive effect, but do provide support via the ECS to all the vital systems in the body.  The ECS helps regulate sleep, mood, appetite, inflammation, muscle control, metabolism, immune system, and more.  It’s basically there to support the rest of your body to be functioning to the best of its abilities, to get it just right in what is called homeostasis, aka physical equilibrium.  This may explain why so many illnesses respond well to cannabis when used in treatments.

Since cannabinoids and the ECS are working in our best interest we want to offer you our Pacha Full Spectrum CBD Oil which includes not only CBD, but all other cannabinoids.  The amount of THC in it is less than .3% which is so small that it won’t cause a psychoactive effect, but if you wanted to omit THC all together take a look at our Pacha CBD- 0% THC- option that will have only 1 cannabinoid, CBD!

Can you vape Pacha tinctures?

Our tinctures were not designed to be vaped and we do not recommend that you do so.

Will I pass a drug test with Pacha CBD products?

Our CBD isolate and CBD tinctures contain 0% THC.  Our Full Spectrum products contain trace amounts under the legal limit of .3% THC.

Is your hemp organic?

We source our industrial hemp from farms who grow with organic, non-gmo and pesticide free practices.

How is hemp different than marijuana?

Hemp has extremely low amounts of THC, so little that you won't get high.  It has less than .3% of THC.  It does contain very high amounts of CBD.  Marijuana contains larger amounts of THC that is know for its psychoactive effect and low amounts of CBD.  All of our products are hemp derived.
